The originator’s spelling of B. ‘Double L’Amour’ has been repeatedly inconsistent, appearing simultaneously as ‘Double L’Amoure’ and ‘Double L’Amour’ both when it was established (Kirchner-Abel et al., 2004: 31) and since (e.g. Kirchner-Abel retail list for 2011/2012: 20). As the epithet of the cultivar, B. ‘L’Amour’, to which this name seems intended to refer, is spelled in the usual French way, we take ‘Double L’Amour’ to be the correct spelling .
