The very first vinyl record (78) that I ever borrowed from my local Library was Beethoven’s fourth symphony. I think I was 7 years old? My 9-year-old sister & I lay on the living room floor and we listened to that recording and we could not stop laughing ! To this day, I hear only Ludwig’s incredibly immense sense of humor (so often miss-understood) Although he was a bit tortured in his later years, I still believe him to be one of the greatest musical geniuses of all times.
Go ahead and listen to it again and think —–“HUMOR – HE’S MESSING WITH YOU” You might be amazed !?!? It’s a matter of perspective; I think. I only wish I could have met him.
