I lost my original El Dorado plant that I happily grew over the years.  So last year I was very happy to have a cross of mine, flower a little like El Dorado.  Crossed with Archangel it has a smaller bloom, but the scent is very much El Dorado.

I’m hoping to register,  naming after my mum’s mother named Lily.  Having a few tech issues but I will prevail 😉😁

what a shame that you have lost ‘El Dorado’ he is a great plant with the traits needed to move forward with your hybrid program!

all of the crosses i have from ‘El Dorado’ X ‘Butterfly’ have been either Pink or white, never yellow nor orange

i hope this one will fill the gap that ‘El Dorado’ as now vacated

Wasn’t El Dorado one of those that needed to be air layered?

Yes; El Dorado was difficult to root and was easier to air layer.

Now registered as Lily.  Asked my mum to name her and the name was from her late mother,  who passed due to Crohns disease 😔 something treatable these days but in the 1940’s 50’s not so.

It really is a lovely Brugmansia 😍
