This cultivar was originally called ‘Brug Rouge’. However, this name cannot be established as it contravenes Art. 21.10 of the 2009 Code, in the epithet containing the common name of the plant’s genus – “Brug” now being arguably the most widely used common name for Brugmansia. The epithet has been changed to ‘Rouge de Didier’ in discussion with the breeder.
