Cultivar Name: Flava
Name Status: Established but not accepted
Publication: Bristol (1966)
Species Group Cold
Comments:

Bristol (1966) established this name for all yellow South American forms of B. sanguinea collectively, which thus do not constitute a cultivar as such. In addition, the cultivar name is drawn from the botanical name B. sanguinea var. flava, which is a synonym of B. vulcanicola [see Hay et al. (2012: 141)]. Although the name is established, it should, on both these counts, not be accepted.
